Plagiarism Policy Statement

Every manuscript submitted to E-BizPreneur Journal must be the authors’ original work and free from plagiarism. Authors are responsible for ensuring that all quotations, paraphrases, data, tables, figures, concepts, and ideas from other sources are clearly and properly cited according to the journal’s citation style.

The journal has the right to check manuscript similarity using similarity-checking tools or other relevant review methods before the manuscript proceeds to further editorial processing.

1. Definition of Plagiarism

Plagiarism is the act of using words, sentences, data, ideas, concepts, figures, tables, or works of others without proper acknowledgment or citation. Plagiarism may also occur when authors reuse parts of their own previously published works without adequate explanation.

2. Forms of Plagiarism

• Using part or all of another person’s writing without citing the source.
• Paraphrasing from another source without providing proper citation.
• Using data, figures, tables, instruments, or other materials without permission or clear source acknowledgment.
• Submitting the same or substantially similar article to more than one journal at the same time.
• Reusing one’s own previously published work without adequate explanation.
• Manipulating citations or references to conceal manuscript similarity.

3. Similarity Check

Submitted manuscripts may be checked for similarity before or during the editorial process. The check is conducted to ensure that manuscripts comply with the principles of originality, academic honesty, and scholarly publication ethics.

E-BizPreneur Journal recommends that manuscript similarity should remain within a reasonable limit, with a maximum of 25% after excluding references, legitimate direct quotations, and certain technical sections when necessary. Editors reserve the right to evaluate the substance of similarity, not only the similarity percentage.

4. Authors’ Responsibilities

• Ensure that the manuscript is free from plagiarism before submission.
• Cite all sources used in the manuscript correctly and completely.
• Use paraphrasing properly without misleadingly changing the meaning of the original source.
• Provide permission when the manuscript contains third-party materials that require permission.
• Be willing to revise the manuscript if the editor identifies similarity issues or improper source use.

5. Editorial Actions

If plagiarism is suspected, the editor may take action according to the level of violation. Such actions may include requesting revision, requesting clarification, returning the manuscript to the authors, rejecting the manuscript, or retracting the article if the violation is found after publication.

6. Plagiarism After Publication

If suspected plagiarism is found after publication, E-BizPreneur Journal will review the report. If the violation is confirmed, the journal may publish a correction, clarification statement, or article retraction according to the severity of the violation and editorial considerations.

7. Plagiarism Prevention

Authors are encouraged to check their manuscripts independently before submitting them to the journal. Authors should also ensure that citation practices, paraphrasing, reference lists, and source use comply with scholarly writing standards.
